Fall Pastel – Add Some Color
I am someone who usually sticks with black, navy, or red for fall and winter jackets. That being said, I think we should all try and add a fun pop of color to help warm the cooler days. I love this light blue knee-length jacket; the color is beautiful and reminds me of the clear blue sky or crystal clear ocean, and it is such a fun girly piece that brings light to the dull days of winter. Will you rock a spring colored jacket into the colder months?
Top Your Basics – The Boyfriend Blazer
Most people think of office attire when they see a blazer, but it is a versatile piece that can easily be dressed up or down for a simple day or night ensemble. Slip on your favorite jeans and tee-shirt and throw a blazer over to really take your casual look to the next level. Here I show you how you can take the same jeans and tee pieces and transform the look by topping it off with a different blazer.
With a blazer it is all about fit. Make sure the piece is fitted through the arms and hits on your body in a flattering place (avoid jackets that end at the thickest part of your figure).
To take the look from day to night just change out the boot for a heel, toss your hair up and away from your face, and add a bold lip color, it really is that simple!
Tee Shirt and Jeans – 4 looks
I love playing with basic wardrobe pieces like this black tee shirt and jeans. You can easily make new looks just by mixing and matching items that are already in your closet. I put together four combinations using a black tee and jean base to give you an idea of ways you can style a basic base. I decided to do two casual and comfy looks and two dressed up options that are work appropriate. All the featured items are from H&M and very reasonably priced.
